6th  Held at Illiniwek Park in Hampton , Illinois, The Great American Treasure Hunting Association will be hosting the first ever Bounty Hunter Spring Shootout. 
This is a hunt open to all brands of detectors and is sponsored by Bounty Hunter Metal Detectors and Lucky Dan's Detector Shop. There will be ample silver buried along with many silver and gold coin prizes. Bounty Hunter detectors, accessories and Crazy Ed's Pinpoint Probes will also be given away as main prizes. This event was organized to be a fun hunt and the entry fees have been kept to a minimum. Early entries received by April 6th are just $40 and $50 after that date. This gets the contestant into the main hunt, dollar hunt, and the blind Rosie early bird hunt. Lunch is included in the entry fee. 3rd  Roanoke Valley Coin & Relic Club - 9th Annual Hunt, Saturday, June 3rd, 2000 Camp Alta Mons, near Shawsville VA, rain or Shine. 17th and 18th  The Recreational Detecting & Prospecting Club will be conducting an open event on June 17th and 18th in the year 2000. There will be several treasure hunts and river panning for real gold and control panning competitions. It will be conducted in the beautiful White Mountains of New Hampshire. You will find all the information, updates and entry forms on our web site at the following address, http://www.crosswinds.net/~rdpc  Note of interest is that no metal detectors have ever been used on this land. We have been authorized to use as much land as we want. What we use will be determined by the amount of entries we get. Saturday night buffet style dinner and dance available. 2nd & 3rd - The Oregon Treasure Trail Society is hosting their annual Silver Classic Open Hunt over Labor Day weekend at the Yamhill County Fairgrounds in McMinnville, Oregon. Two full days of competition hunts are scheduled, 7 hunts in all, and each hunt is guaranteed to have a winner of a metal detector -- not to forget a gold coin or two and plenty of silver!
