The medallion on the left is a Charles I supporter medallion and was worn by English families who who favored a monarchy over the impending rule of Oliver Cromwell (resulting in the English Civil War) I dug this one last year. The medallion on the right is what it would have looked like in non-dug condition. It is solid silver with heavy gold gilding. This whole medallion was on display in the Museum of London.
Everyone would like to find something like this 1st-century gold Roman coin. Actually, they can - this is a photo of a reproduction I purchased at the Dover Museum!
