We have a lot of good hunters in the state. It's hard to find larger gold in public spots. So years ago I found that for every gold ring in these areas there are 10x plus more smaller gold still there so started micro hunting. I would say 90% of the gold found this year will be scrapped and a few returned. I keep old rings and gold crosses. Maybe if hours relent at work I can do more research for older spots with more keepers. The reality is I would rather be finding shipwrecks but...small gold seems to be what 2017 is about.
