Ive enjoyed drooling over my keyboard at the abundance of gold jewelry.
Not one of my better years for quantity but certainly a quality year.
It was pretty slow until the fall when I went to England in September.
In all 15 years Ive been going, I never found a lot but I usually like to find at least 1 nice coin and 1 nice artifact. What did Mel say 'Today's the day' !!!!
Detectorist dream come true... finally found my first gold coin, 1695 William 3rd gold guinea. Between the size of a quarter and half dollar.
Its still in England being 'recorded'. Hopefully I will receive it sometime in Feb-March. Thankfully it was very deep, over a foot, and the plow never saw it. Unfortunately, my shovel nicked it but not a bad scratch. Was a most exciting day.
Here's to finding your dream of a lifetime.
