A SC Confederate button would be rare up there.

Hope someone can help with that. It sure is a very nice find.
Looks like it may have had a similar attachment on the other side.

Anybody have any info on this button??
There is plenty of information available on this button online but a lot of it is conflicting. Many of these are supposedly faked but most believe this was pre Bureau of Indian Affairs (BIA).

Re: 2 heartbreakers saturday
Too bad Pete but maybe there is one left intact to find. Still good finds!!
Both of those would have made my day Pete. You are a real trooper out there in that heat.
Pete- the biggest Confederate camp we found that someone took you into, we found 5 like that
Still a great day l would say.
Damn, you are as hard as woodpecker lips to be out in this heat and humidity; not to mention the ticks.
I found a US and Eagle Breast plate last week in similar condition, They were fire damaged and had no lead backing.

Thanks Mike. I have never seen one either, and am striking out trying to find info on it.
What kind of site did you find it on? I wonder if it is homemade???
Been working an area where 3 small dwellings once stood side-by-side. May have been slave quarters once upon a time.
Curious "Liberty". What is the backmark??
