What I meant was if your too close to frame it the way you want that you cant fix in a crop, focus with a half shutter so your focus is done where you want it, then carefully move the camera left or right to frame it the way you want without releasing focus, probably a better way with that camera is to manual focus after framing, more complicated ways are to move the focus point around so its not in center... I find it easiest to AF where I want it then re frame the shot, if you see my giant swallowtail butterfly in flight down the page it was a perfect example of me not doing what I said above :) but that was a quick shot and wouldn't have had time and still stay somewhat in focus.. problem with any camera movement at all at close up range is a slight movement can take image right out of focus at least where you wanted it to be
