Mitch King/Team Captain/Florida

Hi Everyone, Mitch King here, web master and team captain for the 2010/11 hunt.

I got my first metal detector in 1974 (age 14). It was a kit from Radio Shack that I had built. It was a BFO, find everything and reject nothing machine. I had a lot of fun with it for a few summers. I have been detecting on and off since then. I got my 1st microprocessor detector in the late 80's. I have used many machines by all the major manufactures. I have been living in Florida all my life and now live on the east coast. I am an engineering technician for a company in Sebastian, Fl. This is a great location near all the 1715 Spanish treasure fleet wrecks, but it is a little shy of Civil War relic hunting opportunities. I mostly do the beaches or demolition of old buildings here in Florida. I have detected all over the US, Canada, Mexico, the Caribbean, England and France.  I always have a detector with me, whether on vacations or business trips. I am also Vice President of our local metal detecting club, Treasure Coast Archeological Society and have been the clubs Master Hunter of the Year  8 times in 10 years. This will be my 9th year attending the GNRS. I will be bringing my GTI-2500, GTI-1500 and my Infinium.

Good Luck to all and GO TEAM GARRETT !!!

Randy Strickland/N.C.

This will be my 10th GNRS on the Garrett Team.  My first love is relic hunting, but anytime I can search is a good time.  I use several machines and enjoy them all but if I could only have one machine it would be the Garrett 2500.  I think the 2500 with 12.5 imaging coil will compete with any relic machine.  My wish for it would be that it weighed less, but I think Garrett is working on this.  I look forward to seeing my Garrett friends again and meeting the new members also. Let's sharpen our shovels, dig anything that sounds decent and put a pile of relics in the Garrett column.

Bill Neal/New Jersey

This will be the third GNRS for me (got picked a couple of times before but had to drop out). I have been detecting for around 10 years now and primarily coin shoot and relic hunt. I use a GTI-1500. I really love this machine. I live in Northeast NJ and am a service technician for photographic equipment and a volunteer firefighter on the side. My other hobbies include photography, fishing, and working on my Trans Am. I am really looking forward to hunting with the Garrett team!!!

Don Hickey/Florida

I am a member of the Central Florida Metal detecting club. I have been the many GNRS and North/South hunts. I have hunted all over the USA, Caribbean and in England. My best find is a gold Celtic stater coin from 30BC that I found in England. I will be using a GTI 2500.
